About Kidncaboodle

My daughter D and I wanted to tackle some projects together and to share the results with you, so kidncaboodle was born. To start, because D was very sensitive and had a hard time watching films as a young child, we’re reviewing movies with an eye toward films that are good choices for sensitive kids.

About D (by Lauren)

D is a fourth grader in the San Francisco Bay Area. She loves acting and roller skating. She also enjoys reading, playing video games, volunteering with dogs and cats at a local animal shelter, learning karate, dancing, and cooking. Her current favorite colors are lavender and neon green. Her favorite food, which never wavers, is a burrito. Some other current faves include harp seals, the book The Good Dog, and the soundtrack from Fiddler on the Roof.

About Lauren (by D)

Lauren is a 46-year-old. She is a writer and copy editor and owner of the company Textperts. She lives with her partner, her cat, and her daughter. She likes playing board games, taking walks, volunteering with dogs and cats, watching cooking shows, and roller skating. Her favorite colors are purple and green. Wolves are one of her favorite animals. She recently read Gilead by Marilynne Robinson and Use Your Brain to Change Your Age by Dr. Daniel Amen. The last movies she saw in the theater were “Zootopia” and “The Jungle Book.” Lauren is also funny and nice.
